Circle Library-

The Archaeological Survey of India, Guwahati Circle Library was established in the year 1983. The collection of the printed media at the Library is 3334 which consists of books and journal.
Guwahati Circle Library has various collections on different subjects namely History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Architecture, Art, Epigraphy & Numismatics, Indology, Literature, Geology, etc. 
Guwahati Circle Library makes use of e-Granthalaya Ver3.0(2007) software for library automation. Present status of library automation is in process. Circulation is made by manually and digitally. All the books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System of 19th edition.
The main objective of the ASI, Guwahati Circle library is to provide information to its academic and technical staff for intellectual development in their persuit towards preservation and restoration of the cultural heritage.
