It is famous for large megalithic stone memorials of the local tribes generally known as 'U Maw Thodur-Briew',
a tradition still in vogue in some pocket areas. Typologically the monolithic group can be classified into menhirs, dolmens and cairn types. Menhirs are more common, some of them are gigantic in size.

The height of one menhir is 9m. It is observed that menhirs are erected generally in rows of three,four,five oe seven.The central one of a row is generally larger in size.A capstone is occasionally provided over it to represent the shape of head or hat.The other varities of megaliths Cairns and dolments can be seen in considerable number.
