Excavation at this site was conducted in the year 2007-08 to investigate the cultural sequence of the palatial complex. During the course of excavation a huge burnt brick wall running in North-South orientation was partially exposed. The structure is found almost robbed and only foundation is extant. The exposed wall measures 11.75m in length and 2.65m in width. It is made with brickbats and supported on both sides by bricks-on-edge.
A circular hearth with elongated mouth has been exposed. The hearth measures 90cm in length, 68cm in width with an inner space of 40cm. The arm of the hearth measures 14cm in width.
Besides, remains of two huge circular wooden posts have also been exposed during excavation. The extant diameter of the posts is 25cm.
The ceramic industry of the site is dominated by red ware, buffish red ware and few grey wares, which are available in medium and coarse fabrics and occasionally applied with slip. All the potteries are found to be of wheel-turned, although a small percentage of handmade pottery is also available.
